Wimborne Minster return match

After our successful visit to Wimborne Minster last term, the boys' choir paid a return visit to us. Together, the two choirs made a sound comparable with many cathedrals. St Peter's Parents and Friends Association, who had enjoyed fish and chips on the beach directly after the 10.00 Eucharist, rounded off their 8-hour duty by providing a magnificent tea for the many singers and their families.

Wales trip a stunning success

In September 2008, purely speculatively, director of music David Coram booked a visiting choir spot at St Davids Cathedral, Pembrokeshire for the following August, little knowing what the eleven months which followed would hold. The St Peter's boys exceeded all expectations and produced a thoroughly respectable week of services, brilliantly accompanied by Sam Hanson on the organ. Activities throughout the week included a sandcastle contest, a deep sea boat trip to see the dolphins and other wildlife around Ramsay Island, and an unplanned but hilarious team-building exercise called The Crystal Maze.
